Need for frost protection

Modern central heating systems are equipped with an automatic control system that maintains the water temperature at a safe level (furnace function, controller). However, this does not seem to be sufficient in many cases, e.g. when there is a power or gas cut. After a long period of time, it may not be possible to restart the cooker. Most modern boilers will not switch on automatically after a power or gas interruption, a reset is required. The use of ALPRO 11 "FERPRO"^® will completely protect the central heating system against frost and corrosion. On the other hand, draining the system for the winter period causes oxygen corrosion in the entire system, which contributes to the rapid loss of its efficiency, resulting in its failure.

ALPRO 11 "FERPRO"^® also provides comprehensive protection of steel against corrosion, calcium deposits and the development of microorganisms. The dependence of the freezing temperature and the lowest permissible non-damaging temperature on the concentration of the preparation is shown in the table.

Directions for use:
To obtain the required frost protection, add a sufficient quantity of the preparation to water. The effectiveness of the preparation depends on its thorough distribution throughout the circuit (installation). Before releasing it into the open system installation, check the condition of the internal surface of the expansion vessel and, if necessary, remove accumulated deposits. Into a closed system installation ALPRO 11 "FERPRO"^® fluid can be easily introduced through the radiator vent valve or using a pressure pump. Under normal operating conditions, the preparation will be evenly distributed throughout the installation within 3-10 days.
NOTE !!! An installation with antifreeze should be labelled with a tag stating "Do not drain the installation", which prevents accidental draining of the discharge. In addition, the tag should inform that the water cannot be frozen for repair and state how to check the concentration of
ALPRO 11"FERPRO"^®.

Concentration control-periodic maintenance.

It is the buyer's responsibility to check the proper distribution of the preparation throughout the installation. This should be done by taking samples at various points in the installation and checking them with a refractometer or placing them in a freezer to check their resistance to freezing.

ALPRO 11 FERPRO ^"® protects installations for at least 5 years after being added to a sealed installation. In theory, the protection can even last for more than 10 years, but periodic concentration checks are required.

Britex is not responsible for any loss if such a test is not carried out.

The best way to do this is to measure the refractive index with a refractometer (contact the Technical Department for details) or by freezing a sample of the water in the installation in a freezer.

Please note - it is possible to mix in the installation with the preparation previously sold by us "Alphi 11". Both preparations have the same effect and are based on the same components.
