Cleaning water systems and hot water storage tanks
1 Tablet= 20-25 litres of water @ 40-50 PPM

Directions for use. Disinfection / Sterilisation.
Dissolve BRIT-STER "FERDOM-FERPRO"® in warm water, (increased temperature increases the activity of the preparation). Approximately 1 litre of water for 1-2 tablets. Use a plastic container.

- Air conditioning systems etc. according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- DHW storage heaters: Depending on the size of the tank, drop in the appropriate number of tablets or pour in the solution. Turn on the water heating, leave in the unit for about 1 hour, do not use hot water consumers until the decontamination process is complete. Rinse well, neutralise.
Note; It is recommended to first clean the fittings from mineral deposits using FERDOM FERPRO DS-30, thus removing the habitat of bacteria, algae, etc.
- DHW installations If a DHW cylinder is installed, Pour the BRIT-STER solution into the storage tank and every 10 minutes turn on each tap in turn and drain approx. one litre of water. If the installation does not have a storage tank, flush it out using the FERPRO Cleaning Pump. Alternatively, you can make your own container out of a plastic bucket and a hose connected to the hot water supply, pour the solution into it and then drain the taps as specified above. Rinse well , neutralise.
Advised to clean fittings beforehand - see above.
-C.O. installations especially with underfloor heating. If a dispenser is installed in the system. Pour the solution into the dosing unit and introduce it into the central heating system. If there is no dispenser, introduce the solution into the system via the radiator vent, using for example a funnel/hose set. Top up the sump water, check that all valves are open, switch on the circulation pump and ensure circulation to every part of the system. If possible, heat up the tap water slightly with the boiler (not more than approx. 40% C). Drain the system after approx. 30-60 min. Rinse/neutralise well.
It is recommended to clean the installation of mineral and corrosive deposits beforehand and then to protect the installation with an inhibitor - using FERDOM FERPRO. Read here.
- Whirlpool baths, sinks, etc. : Drop a tablet into approx. 20-25 litres of hot bath water. Leave for 1 hour.Whirlpool baths - turn on circulation for a period of time.
-Toilet bowl s - drop 1 tablet into the bowl, rinse with water after 1 hour. No neutralizer required.
- Wells, water intakes - according to local conditions

- Neutralization:
After cleaning, use the enclosed neutralizer at a ratio of 1 tablet = 2 grams. Dissolve the neutraliser in hot water. Use approximately the same amount of water as before. Wait approximately 30 minutes and pour the water down the drain. Drain the water from the lowest point.
Flush the system thoroughly several times with tap water until the odour disappears.

General use:
Regulations in many European countries require regular cleaning and sterilisation of hot water and air conditioning systems to prevent bacterial contamination, which can become a major problem. The most notorious cases are outbreaks of legionellosis.
Preparations containing chlorine and its derivatives are recognised as the most effective in destroying bacteria and viruses in water systems. BRIT-STER tablets are a safe chlorine-containing agent that allows accurate dosing, even by non-experts.

BRIT-STER vs. sodium hypochlorite preparations
-BRIT-STER tablets dissolve quickly when added to water and have a much stronger biocide effect than sodium hypochlorite or similar (various cleaning and bleaching preparations) , but at the same time they are much less corrosive (see table).
-Sodium hypochlorite solutions degrade over time and lose their potency under certain conditions.
-Sodium hypochlorite solutions are dangerous (corrosive) when exposed to the skin.Sodium hypochlorite solutions are dangerous (corrosive) if they come into contact with the skin or eyes.
-They are difficult to store and their tanks should have vents.
-Sodium hypochlorite concentrations vary, making it difficult to accurately dose the level of active chlorine.
