DS-30 APPLICATION
Cleaning of entire water systems, including hot and drinking water; with water heaters, flow heaters, heat exchangers, heaters and pipes, etc.
2. cleaning with a cleaning pump of water, air-conditioning, refrigerating and industrial systems (injection moulding machines, generators)
Cleaning of other equipment and components e.g. removed from the installation - heat exchangers, heaters, valves, etc. as well as washing machines, dishwashers and sanitary equipment.
CAUTION; Use FERDOM products for cleaning central heating systems: e.g. SUPER-DS, for solar systems DS-SOLAR. Do not use DS-30 with: corroded aluminium, acrylic (e.g. bathtubs), enamelled metals (bathtubs, sinks). Clean chrome-plated parts in a short time.

PREPARATIONS
Work wearing protective suit, gloves and goggles. Dissolve the preparation in a plastic vessel in warm water (min 50ºC max 80ºC). While dissolving the stone CO2 is released, which may cause foaming. It is necessary to keep the space for the emerging foam in order to avoid overflow. A change of colour from red to greyish (or stated on a separate label) indicates that the effect of DS-30 decreases. Cleaning interval: a) until the product loses its activity = colour change, b) for larger systems, e.g. hot water, from 4 to 8 hours. If there is a lot of sediment, the process should be repeated. After cleaning, rinse the system/appliances thoroughly with water so that all traces of the acid are removed (smell and taste).

Cleaning the hot water system with a storage heater
Switch off the boiler (water heater), close the feedwater valve. Open taps and drain water from the system and from the heater. Only about 20 litres can be drained from the boiler. Close the taps. If it is not possible to pour the agent directly into the heater, cut into the system and introduce the agent with a hose and a funnel. Pour a solution of 1kg per 10L of water (see: preparing the solution) into the system so that most of it enters the heater. Open the feedwater valve . Start heating water in the tank to 50-60°C. Cleaning process min. 4 hours, max. 8 hours. Every 15 minutes, open each tap, draining approx. 0.5 litre of water into a plastic container (pour into the drain). Do not allow contact with acrylic and enamel surfaces of bathtubs and sinks. After the cleaning process turn off the boiler/heater, drain the DHW system and rinse it several times until the characteristic smell and taste disappears. The method for draining the system/tank depends on the type of appliance/installation. Use FERDOM BRIT-STER tablets if biological contamination has occurred in the system.
Utilisation
DS-30 is biologically recyclable. The used, inactive preparation can be poured out into the sewage system.

Note: Use only with boilers with water up to 200 litres/dm3 . Cleaning time is several hours.
Boilers with higher water consumption should be cleaned with DS-50 "FERPRO"® when cleaning the entire system. Cleaning time is 2-7 days.
Plate heat exchangers (depending on their size) can be cleaned as boiler heat exchangers or, after removing them from the installation, immerse them in the dissolved preparation.
Disposal:
DS-30 "FERDOM" ® is biologically processed and therefore environmentally friendly. The used preparation can be poured down the drain.
Storage:
Do not store in frost. Refer to the safety data sheet.
Caution: Always treat the central heating system after cleaning with a corrosion inhibitor.
