FD179 WATERCLEAN 2pcs Inox steel mesh 90 micron. Diameter 25x97mm. For water filters.
FD179 FERDOM is used in pre-filters
-Protects appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, bathroom and kitchen faucets from insoluble impurities such as sand, gravel, rust, etc.
It is also recommended as a first filter (pre-filter) before delicate fixtures such as softeners, iron separators, osmosis stations, etc.
FD179 for use with drinking or technical water, from own source or mains water supply.
Maximum flow rate of 2,5m3 / hour, sufficient for up to 2-3 houses.
Principle of operation of FERDOM / Spin-Down pre-filters
- Separation of insoluble sediments with a fraction larger than (90μm) in the water flow.
The smaller the micron size, the more effective the filtration, but the greater the pressure loss on the filter.
The cartridge is reusable and cleans from retained sediments during the manual rinsing phase (centrifugation)
Recommended use:
- Main use in domestic water supply systems.
The pre-filter protects fittings and household appliances against insoluble impurities from the water supply network or own water intake.
It is also recommended as the first filter (pre-filter) for delicate fittings such as softeners, iron separators, osmosis stations etc.
It increases the durability of subsequent filters in the filtration sequence, which may have a micron rating of e.g. 1 to 50 microns and can be quickly blocked by larger contaminants.
FD179 cartridges are used in WATERCLEAN FD177, FD178, FD185 and FD191 pre-filters and in filters from other manufacturers - see dimensions.
