The built-in pressure reducer in the FD191 FERDOM protects domestic water installations and appliances from excessive pressure from the mains supply.
By using it, pressure damage is avoided and water consumption is reduced. The set pressure remains constant, even with large fluctuations in inlet pressure.
The lower pressure minimises flow noise in the system.

The FD191's built-in pre-filter protects domestic appliances. Such as washing machines, dishwashers, bathroom and kitchen faucets from insoluble impurities such as sand, grit, rust, etc. Also recommended as a first filter (pre-filter) before sensitive items such as softeners, irons, dishwashers, osmosis stations, etc. When the drain valve is opened, a water vortex moving downwards cleans the cartridge and removes the accumulated impurities flowing into the drain. A built-in pressure gauge indicates the water pressure at the outlet.
FD191 FERDOM's brass and policarbonate construction ensures long term durability and safe use. For use with potable or technical water, from own source or mains water supply. Maximum flow rate of 2.5m3 / hour, sufficient for up to 2-3 houses. Maximum inlet pressure 16 bar / 1.6 MPa.
The FERDOM FD191 is easy to install for G1 / 2 "or 3/4" (DN15 / DN20). It has a reusable stainless steel filter thanks to a robust 90μm stainless steel insert / mesh, durability depending on water quality. Another spare mesh included. Supplied with 12 bar / 160 psi pressure gauge and a roll of PTFE tape to seal water connections

FERDOM FD191 has two main functions:
Function 1 Pressure Relief. As water flows through the valve, it passes through the spring and diaphragm, which creates resistance and reduces the pressure to the desired level as the water leaves the valve from the other side.
Function 2 To separate insoluble sediments with a fraction larger than (90 μm) in the flowing water. The cartridge is reusable and cleans the accumulated sediments during the manual flushing phase (Spin Down).
Recommended use:
Main application in domestic water supply systems. The pre-filter protects fittings and household appliances from insoluble contaminants from the water mains or your own water intake.
Also recommended as the first filter (pre-filter) before sensitive fittings such as softeners, iron washers, osmosis stations, etc.
Construction of the pre-filter:
The pre-filter has a brass head with water connections.
Pressure gauge 0-12 bar supplied (at the outlet).
The filter housing is made of policarbonate.
Inside the housing is a durable stainless steel filter cartridge / mesh.
