FERDOS Anti-corrosion, and anti-sludge preparation for water systems. Primary purpose to protect heat exchangers in domestic boilers and hot water systems. Can also be used for water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.

APPLICATION
FERDOS prevents mineral deposits and protects water installations, in particular hot water (heat exchangers in boilers) and washing machines, dishwashers and other equipment from corrosion. The unit automatically doses microscopic amounts of a chelating-masking preparation that contains food-based water softeners (4g/1m3).

DOSERSATORS - PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
FERDOM FD406 anti-sediment and anti-corrosion dosing devices proportionally dose the FERDOS preparation (made in Italy), which, thanks to its composition, forms a microscopic and anti-sediment membrane on metal surfaces, so that water has limited contact with metal surfaces. At the same time, the preparation forms a colloidal suspension which does not allow calcium and magnesium ions (deposits) to precipitate.
The preparation is dosed in microscopic quantities. It is produced on the basis of food preparations.

WATER HARDNESS - IMPACT ON THE SYSTEM AND FITTINGS
In most of Poland (more than 50%), water is hard or very hard. This has the following consequences; failures of boilers, heaters, heating systems, fittings, domestic appliances, etc. Deposits in boilers, exchangers also increase heating costs. Many manufacturers of fittings (e.g. central heating boilers) recommend treating the water when its hardness exceeds 15° dh (hard/base water)
. Hardness also causes nuisance deposits on faucets, sanitary fittings or shower cubicles and increases expenses on cleaning and laundry detergents.



Water hardness results from the sum of calcium and magnesium salts, which, as a result of rising temperatures, cause so-called limescale deposits to form, especially in places where there is the greatest thermal shock, such as boilers, exchangers, pipes, etc. This is caused by a chemical reaction in the water, which can lead to the formation of limescale. This is caused by a chemical reaction that results in the formation of calcium carbonate and carbon dioxide. The calcium carbonate precipitates, causing encrustations and blockages in the fittings, while the carbon dioxide produced triggers the corrosion process.
The Ferdos preparation, based on sodium polyphosphate, has an anti-corrosive and anti-sedimentary function - which, thanks to its composition, forms a microscopic and anti-sedimentary coating on the walls of fittings and pipes, while at the same time causing a process of colloidal suspension, which does not allow the precipitation of calcium and magnesium ions. By stopping the precipitation of ions, the amount of deposits and the amount of CO2 formation, responsible for corrosion, are reduced.
