Highly effective, acid-free cleaner and neutralizer for water-based central heating, refrigeration and air conditioning systems and cooling systems, etc. in industry and agriculture.

DESCRIPTION OF APPLICATIONS

The effective acid-free agent is intended for rinsing, neutralising and cleaning water, heating installations etc;

A) New installations before commissioning to neutralise solder, fluxes, technical oils (from radiators and metal pipes) and other chemical impurities.

B) Existing water installations - to remove rust, corrosion deposits, light mineral deposits and loose substances such as sludge and contaminants that are a by-product of corrosion with minimal risk of exposing leaks.

It contains inhibitors to protect all metals and materials commonly used in heating systems. Leaving the product on for a longer period of time does not damage the installation. Cleaning can be repeated as necessary.

CLEANING METHODS

DS-15 can be used both during system operation and with a cleaning pump.

-Cleaning of a heating system (new or existing) during system operation consists in maintaining circulation for 7 days -14 days under normal operating conditions or for approx. 1 day maintaining a constant temperature of approx. 60-70 degrees C. The use of DS-15 does not require the boiler or radiators to be disconnected; it is advisable to use the boiler to heat the cleaning bath. When it is not possible to heat the heating installation, e.g. during the summer season, or when cleaning another installation, e.g. an air-conditioning system, the product is also effective at an ambient temperature of approx. 20°C. -Cleaning of water installations with the use of a cleaning pump. It is advisable to heat the cleaning bath to approx. 50 degrees C. Cleaning period up to approx. 6 hours. Use of Ferdom's FM1 magnetic filter (FD001) is recommended.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LARGE INSTALLATIONS.
Cleaning without cleaning pump during system operation.

Recommended concentration of preparation 1% to 2% (1 to 2 ^litres/dm3 per 100 ^litres/dm3 of water) depending on the degree of contamination of the installation.

1) The preparation should be injected directly into the installation. Concentrations are not critical.

2) For optimum results - drain the installation of water and flush with tap water before cleaning.

3) Prepare the installation for cleaning. Open to full flow all valves in the system, including thermostatic controls and automatic control valves. They must be open so that no part of the circuit is disconnected during cleaning.

4) The introduction of the preparation should take place after the system has been completely / partially drained, in an open system through an expansion vessel or through a location in the system chosen by the installation team.

5) The cleaning process is faster and more effective at higher temperatures. The central heating system should include the boiler and circulation pump and operate in the normal temperature range.

6) At 60-70^oC, the cleaning time can be reduced to approx. 24-48 hrs.

7)In the event that the system/boiler cannot be switched on during the
cleaning process, e.g. in summer, the DS-15 can stay in the system for approx. 4 weeks. The circulation pump should be turned on from time to time. When the installation is very dirty it is advisable to fit a Ferdom FM1 magnetic filter.

8) The cleaning process should be monitored and should last as long (and possibly be repeated) according to the results of the cleaning process monitoring.

9) The next step is to completely drain the installation and rinse it with cold water. Carefully flush the system until the water is clear. This requires the water to be changed at least three times. To protect the system for the future, the use of a corrosion inhibitor is recommended.

CLEANING OTHER WATER SYSTEMS

The cleaning method for other installations depends on their type. It is advisable to heat the cleaning bath for faster action of the product and to use a forced closed circuit. Most of the recommendations relating to central heating installations can be applied to the cleaning of other systems.
