Boiler protection kit 3-in-1 - FERDOM FD333.
It protects the wall hung condensing boiler against harmful impurities both in the central heating circuit and in the hot water circuit and neutralises the acid in the condensate. It consists of;
1) Magnetic filter-separator FERDOM FD090 removing magnetic and non-magnetic impurities from the heating circuit.
2) FERDOM FD406 dosing-water softener for anti-sediment and anti-corrosion action in the hot water circuit.
3) FERDOM Condensate Neutraliser FD168, a device for neutralising harmful acids in condensate/condensate.

FERDOM FD406 Anti-Scale & Anti-Corrosion Proportional Dispenser/Feeder for Water Mains.

FERDOM dispensers with anti-sludge and anti-corrosive properties dose proportionally food grade polyphosphate (sodium), which, thanks to its composition, creates a microscopic and anti-scale membrane on metal surfaces, causing the water to have limited contact with metal surfaces. At the same time, polyphosphate forms a colloidal suspension that does not allow calcium and magnesium ions to precipitate. The preparation is dosed in microscopic quantities (3-5 parts per million). According to local regulations, it can also be used for drinking water (Italy UNI 8065). In most of European territory the water is hard or very hard. This has the following effects; failures of boilers, heaters, heating installations, fittings, household appliances.

FERDOM FD406 is installed on the cold water supply to the building (recommended), or before of the device that we want to protect eg boiler, heater, etc. Model FD406 has a built-in By-Pass valve that allows to shut off the water supply for the time of replacement, so it can be mounted without shut-off valves. It can be installed vertically or horizontally. After unscrewing the 4 screws, disconnect from the dispenser the connection plate, which can be set in the vertical or horizontal position, in the direction of the water flow (see illustration).

FERDOM FD090 Magnetic Filter for Central Heating.

Central heating radiators they are usually made of carbon steel, which is highly susceptible to corrosion. Steel pipes or cast iron radiators may also be present in the installation.
Black magnetite is formed, which has a magnetic character and can therefore be captured with a magnet.
If the magnetic filter does not collect these particles, they will go to the next device with electromagnetic properties; such as a circulation pump and will cause premature wear. They also get into other system components such as valves, heat exchangers, etc., causing them to clog and reduce the efficiency of the entire system.
An additional built-in device function is a non-magnetic dirt separator. Contaminants of this type (so-called boiler scale) block heat exchangers, lead to boiler overheating, clog pipes, etc.

FERDOM FD168 Boiler Condensate Neutraliser, Refillable, Mini Size.

In condensing boilers, high efficiency is achieved by using waste heat from the hot flue gases to pre-heat the water in the boiler instead of just being exhausted though the flue. However, in doing so, the flue gases are cooled and an acidic condensate is formed. An average domestic condensing boiler may produce 800 litres of acid per year at about pH 4.0, which adds up to millions of litres of acid discharged nationwide. Today, guidance in many countries requires that effluent is discharged to municipal sewers and water courses at between pH 6.5 and pH 10.0. It is therefore good practice to neutralize it (to avoid pollution and corrosion of the materials) and our mixture of inert materials acts by raising the pH value.

This is to protect mirco-organisms used in the biological purification processes in the septic tank or in the local water treatment plant, to lessen damage to the infrastructure of the drainage system and to help protect the environment as a whole.
