Agent intended for frost protection of central heating installations, e.g. in single-family houses, where there are periods in winter when the installation is left unattended for some time. Also recommended for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, as well as for solar heating circuits. Manufactured on the basis of non-toxic propylene glycol, it contains the corrosion inhibitor CH-2 "FERDOM"^®, anti-sludge agents and biocides.

The need for frost protection.

Modern central heating systems are equipped with an automatic control system that maintains the water temperature at a safe level (furnace function, controller). However, this protection appears to be inadequate in many cases, e.g. when there is a power or gas cut. After a long period of time, it may not be possible to restart the cooker. Most modern boilers do not automatically switch on after a power or gas cut, a reset is required. The use of STOP-ICE "FERDOM ^"® will completely protect the central heating system against frost and corrosion. On the other hand, draining the system for the winter period causes oxygen corrosion in the entire system, which contributes to the rapid loss of its efficiency and, as a result, its failure.

Advantages of STOP-ICE "FERPRO^"®.

Thanks to the use of non-toxic propylene glycol for its production, STOP-ICE "FERDOM^"® is recommended for use in heating systems where leakage into drinking water may occur (e.g. in coils for a hot water tank). In addition, it provides comprehensive protection of the steel against corrosion, calcium deposits and the growth of microorganisms. A list of solidification temperatures depending on concentration is given in the table.

Directions for use:

To obtain the required frost protection, a sufficient quantity of the preparation should be added to water. The effectiveness of STOP-ICE "FERDOM" ^® depends on the thorough distribution of the preparation throughout the circuit (installation). Before releasing it to the open system installation, check the condition of the internal surface of the expansion vessel and, if necessary, remove accumulated deposits. STOP-ICE "FERDOM" ^® fluid can be easily introduced into a closed system installation through the radiator vent valve. The product can be introduced through the expansion vessel, poured directly into the system at any point in the system or introduced using an injector (used e.g. for gardening). Under normal operating conditions, the product will be evenly distributed throughout the system within 3-10 days.

ATTENTION !!! A system with antifreeze should be labelled with a tag stating "Do not drain the system" to prevent accidental draining of the system. In addition, the tag should inform that the water cannot be frozen for repair and state how to control the concentration of STOP-ICE "FERPRO^"®.

Concentration control - periodic maintenance.

It is the buyer's responsibility to check the correct distribution of the product throughout the installation. This should be done by taking samples at various points in the installation and checking them with a refractometer or placing them in a freezer to check their degree of resistance to freezing.

STOP-ICE "FERDOM ^"® protects installations for at least 5 years after being added to a sealed installation. In theory, the protection can even last for more than 10 years, but periodic concentration checks are required.

The best way is to measure the refractive index using a refractometer (contact the Technical Department for details) or by freezing a sample of the water in the system in a freezer.
